Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Anurag Singh Thakur has lauded the Indian national blind cricket team on their third consecutive win at the T20 World Cup for Blind.
Speaking at their felicitation ceremony in New Delhi today, the Minister said that the team managed to clinch the World Cup against the odds and assured to address the short-comings they had faced during their match this time.
Mr Thakur further added that the Modi government is working relentlessly towards the welfare of Divyangjan and everyone should work together to take Indian sports forward.
Speaking on the occasion, Indian skipper Ajay Kumar Reddy said that when they get on the field to play, no challenges come across their mind but the spirit of victory and making the nation proud.
Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports Nisith Pramanik also attended the event.
