Former Bahujan Samaj Party leader and Padrauna MLA Swami Prasad Maurya joined BJP in New Delhi today, along with his supporters. BJP President Amit Shah, UP BJP Chief Keshav Prasad Maurya felicitated Mr Maurya on joining the party.
Mr Maurya, former BSP General Secretary had left Mayawati’s party on 22nd June, accusing her of selling poll tickets and deceiving dalits. He was the Leader of Opposition in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly and is regarded as the OBC face.
