The Congress has said, resignation of the External Affairs Minister is necessary to ensure smooth functioning of Parliament. Talking to media outside Parliament, party senior leader Mani Shankar Aiyar said, Prime Minister must immediately sack her as she helped fugitive Lalit Modi who is evading the law.
Mr Aiyar said, if Sushma Swaraj will not tender her resignation then it is impossible that Parliament will be able to transact any business. He said that Mrs Swaraj misused her office and she has no right to remain in office.
