External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has again defended herself against the allegations of helping former IPL Chief Lalit Modi, saying that she never requested or recommended travel documents for him.
In a series of tweets, Mrs Swaraj said, it was absolutely false that she spoke to British MP Keith Vaz to allow British government to let the former IPL Commissioner travel.
She said, as a Minister she is accountable to Parliament and that is the only forum to inform the nation about the issue. Reiterating her stand, Ms Swaraj said, she accepted a debate on the very first day of Parliament session but the Congress members are not allowing it.
