Supreme Court has expressed displeasure over inaction on farmers’ suicide. It sought reply from Tamil Nadu government in two weeks.

Expressing displeasure over inaction by the state, the apex court said that it is painful that no action has been taken to stop such incidents. The court had also appointed advocate Gopal Sankaranarayanan as Amicus Curiae.
An NGO had moved the Supreme Court, pointing to the increasing cases of farmer Suicides.
