Domestic benchmark equity indices today maintained their positive trajectory, supported by gains in realty and banking stocks. The 30-share BSE Sensex added 110 points, or 0.14 per cent, to close at 80,956 and the NSE Nifty50 ended nearly flat, marginally up by 10 points, to settle at 24,467.

The broader market at the Bombay Stock Exchange also logged gains. The Mid-Cap index ended 0.83 percent up, and the Small-Cap index climbed 0.68 percent.

In the Sensex index, 16 out of 30 companies logged losses. In the top laggards, Bharti Airtel shed over 2.1 percent, Tata Motors fell over 1.6 percent, and Adani Ports dropped over one and half percent.  Conversely, among the top gainers, HDFC gained over 1.8 percent, NTPC advanced 1.4 percent, and Bajaj Financial Services climbed over 1.3 percent.

  In Sectoral Indices at the BSE, 10 out of 20 sectors ended in positive territory. Among the top gainers, Realty surged over two percent, Financial Services gained over 1.1 percent, and Bankex added over 0.9 percent. Conversely, in the top laggards, Auto and FMCG, both lost over 0.6 percent, Telecommunication fell over half percent and Services were down by 0.44 percent.

The overall market breadth at the BSE was positive as shares of 2,384 companies advanced and 1,582 declined while 104 remained unchanged. At the National Stock Exchange, 107 companies hit their 52-week high while 11 hit their 52-week low
