In Assam, 11 candidates filed their nomination papers on Tuesday (26th March 2024) for the first phase of Lok Sabha polls. Some of the prominent candidates who submitted their nomination on Tuesday (26th March 2024) are Union minister and BJP leader Sarbananda Sonowal from Dibrugarh, Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi from Jorhat, BJP MP Pradan Baruah from Lakhimpur, Asom Jatiya Parishad Chief and former All Assam Students Union, AASU leader Lurinjyoti Gogoi from Dibrugarh. Tomorrow is the last date of filing nomination in this phase.
