National Conference working president and former J&K chief minister and Omar Abdullah criticized the PDP-BJP coalition government for allowing RSS workers to organize a march in Jammu along with weapons while imposing curfew in Srinagar.

“Ache Din from the Modi-Mufti accord. Srinagar gets curfew & RSS gets permission to march with weapons in Jammu,’’ Omar Abdullah wrote on social networking site Twitter.

On Thursday, RSS workers had organized a rally in Jammu city and other parts of the Jammu province. The RSS workers wearing their traditional gear were seen carrying weapons and swords creating fear among minorities living in the Jammu province. The RSS workers had also raised provocative slogans during their march in presence of police escort. Omar also criticized the state government for imposing curfew in the Srinagar city.

On Thursday, to prevent 8th Muharram procession, police had imposed restrictions in the civil lines area and dozens of mourners were detained who tried to take out Muharram procession from Karan Nagar.

On Friday, government also imposed curfew like restrictions in the old city as separatist leaders had called for a joint protest after Friday prayers against the killing of a Kashmiri trucker Zahid Ahmad at Udhampur.
