Muslim Religious Affairs Minister Abdul Haleem today requested the members of the Muslim community to refrain from gathering for congregational prayers on Friday as a sign of solidarity with the Catholic Community and to protest against the barbarism of ruthless terrorists.
He also requested the members of the Muslims community to conduct their prayers at homes instead of at mosques.
“We need to earnestly pray that the Almighty Allah destroy the activities of these inhuman terrorist murderers. We stand with Christian brothers and sisters during this time of grief,” he said.
Meanwhile All Ceylon Jamiyyahul Ualama has appealed Muslim women not to wear Niqab (face cover) to maintain national security…..
