Parliament House today resorted to precautionary measures to combat Coronavirus. Hand sanitizers were introduced in the Parliament house since last week.
Thermal Scanners were used today to screen the employees and journalists and others who were entering the Parliament House.
Visitors were not permitted in the Lok Sabha and the Visitors Gallery wore a deserted look.
Rajya Sabha Chairman asks people to ignore rumours on Coronavirus

Several members in the Rajya Sabha today expressed grave concern over the spread of Corona virus and asked the government to take effective steps to contain it. S.R. Balasubramanian of AIADMK made a strong plea for adjourning the Rajya Sabha in view of the prevailing Corona virus in the country.
Raising the issue, he also wanted cancellation of the Indian Premier League cricket matches. Derek O’Brien of Trinamool Congress suggested that Members of Parliament should spread the awareness messages to prevent the virus.
Dr. Sasmit Patra of Biju Janata Dal demanded sanitisation of bank ATMs, increasing the number of virus testing centres and screening of passengers at domestic terminals.
Dr. Vikas Mahatme of BJP cautioned against rumours. He said the consumption of chicken will not spread the virus.
Elamaran Karim of the CPI(M) wanted the government to exempt the cancellation charges in airlines and railways.
Responding to the concerns of the members Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu asked the people to ignore rumours and follow the good practices.
