The Centre’s Special Representative for Kashmir Dineshwar Sharma today arrived in Srinagar on a five-day visit to the state of Jammu & Kashmir.
Sharma was appointed as interlocutor on J&K by the central government last month to initiate sustained dialogue process while talking to all the stakeholders in the state for resolving the problems related to the state.
According to media reports new interlocutor is likely to stay in the Valley for three days and will travel to Jammu to spend two days there to start a dialogue process with various political parties, socio-cultural organisations, individuals and opinion makers.
Talking to a news agency, Mr. Sharma said that he would like to counter false sloganeering and propaganda available online and ensure that youths and students become part of the peace process.Sharma has been accorded ‘Z’ category armed security cover.
