She said that there was need to increase the days of sitting of the session House from the current seventy days to hundred days in a year. In an interview to AIR, she said the increase in working days will sufficient time for debates on various problems facing a vast country like India.

On question of shifting the Lok Sabha question hour from 11.am to 2.00 pm as done in Rajya Sabha to avoid repeated adjournments, Meira Kumar said that she was thinking in those terms but no consensus has been achieved on the issue so far.

Expressing concern over the delay in the passage of women’s reservation bill, she expressed hope that unanimity amongst various stake holders will be reached soon.
