The South West Monsoon will spread over Bihar in the next couple of days due to prevailing favorable conditions. This will give big relief from the prevailing heat wave situation in the state.

Talking to Akashvani News Scientist of Meteorological Centre Patna Ashish Kumar has cautioned people of thunderstorm activities with gusty winds from 20th to 24th June.

The Met Scientist Mr Kumar said maximum temperature may hover around 40 degree Celsius in the state. Hot and humid conditions may exist in the state. He said a warning for heat wave conditions has been recalled.

Monsoon had advanced in Bihar on 12th of June, but its activities were halted due to cyclone Biparjoy. The agricultural activities have been badly affected in the state due to deficient rainfall during the current Kharif season.
