The third soft skill training programme for the women entrepreneurs of Bangladesh was organised at the Indira Gandhi Cultural centre (IGCC), Dhaka in hybrid mode on Saturday. The programme is being organised by the High Commission of India in collaboration with the ICT Ministry of Bangladesh, Silk Oak Group and Women & eCommerce forum (WE).

30 women entrepreneurs congregated at the Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre in Dhaka while more than 600 participants linked to the event through online mode.

Speaking on the occasion President of the Women and eCommerce Forum Nasima Akter Nisha said that the training has been organised to provide opportunity for the women entrepreneurs to enter the global market.

Over 760 women entrepreneurs are benefitting from the skill training. Classes are being conducted by skilled trainers. It will conclude in July this year.

The programme was inaugurated in September last year to help the women entrepreneurs of Bangladesh to develop communication and presentation skills among other soft skills beneficial to facilitate their business efforts. The programme is being run in hybrid mode  with physical workshops and virtual learning elements.

The soft skills training program is part of the ‘50 years of Bangladesh’ celebrations as well as the ‘75 years of Indian independence’ celebrations, ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’.
