The temple’s construction is part of a broader initiative by the TTD to establish multiple Balaji temples across the country. The temple complex has been developed on 62 acres of land with an estimated cost of 30 crore rupees, is set to become one of the largest temples in the Jammu region and is expected to boost religious and pilgrimage tourism in the Union territory. The temple is beautiful and is constructed entirely with stones and the domes and the idols are made of cement. The temple will be completed before the annual holy Amarnath Yatra, which starts on July 1. All the facilities are being provided in the Jammu temple and soon a Vedic school will also be started in the complex. Pilgrims visiting Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine in Katra can also visit the Tirupati Balaji Temple in Jammu.
