The sixth Tirupati Balaji Temple of the country is all set to be inaugurated on the 8th of June in Jammu. Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is organising the Ankurarpanam fete today for the Maha Samprokshana commemoration programme slated on June 8. Celestial Maha Samprokshana fête will be held in the Mithuna Lagnam between 7.30 AM -8.15 AM on June 8 and the temple will be open for Sarva Darshan from 09.30 AM onwards and in the evening a grand Srivari (Lord Balaji) Kalyanotsavam will be performed.
Located in the picturesque Shivalik forests in the Majeen area on the outskirts of Jammu city, the temple will be thrown open for the devotees free of cost and the rituals will start from today. Special Pooja as a part of the inaugural ceremony will start tomorrow June 4 by the priests, and subsequently on June 8 the temple will be opened for the devotees following its inauguration by the Leuitenent Governor Manoj Sinha. The Jammu temple will be the sixth Balaji Temple constructed outside of Andhra Pradesh, with the TTD having previously built temples in Hyderabad, Chennai, Kanyakumari, Delhi, and Bhubaneswar. The TTD has built the Tirupati Balaji Temple in Jammu at a holy place and it falls on the route between Jammu and Katra. The temple’s construction is part of a broader initiative by the TTD to establish multiple Balaji temples across the country. The temple complex has been developed on 62 acres of land with an estimated cost of 30 crore rupees, is set to become one of the largest temples in the Jammu region and is expected to boost religious and pilgrimage tourism in the Union territory. The temple is beautiful and is constructed entirely with stones and the domes and the idols are made of cement. The temple will be completed before the annual holy Amarnath Yatra, which starts on July 1. All the facilities are being provided in the Jammu temple and soon a Vedic school will also be started in the complex. Pilgrims visiting Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine in Katra can also visit the Tirupati Balaji Temple in Jammu.
