External affairs minister and BJP leader Sushma Swaraj today announced that Silchar, in assam will soon get a regional passport centre and it would ease the problems of people of Barak Valley.

She was addressing a party workers’ rally at Gandhi Mela ground in Silchar. The BJP workers from Cachar, Karimganj, Hailakandi and Dima Hasao districts participated in the rally.

Mrs. Swaraj also informed that the BJP-led NDA government is focussing on allout development of Assam and because of that, the central government has already sanctioned one lakh crore rupees for roads in Assam and 28 thousand crore rupees for the development of rail network in the state.

She also highlighted various pro-poor schemes of BJP government like Jan-Dhan Yojna, Sabka Sath- Sabka Vikas, Mudra bank and Bima Suraksha Yojna etc and asked BJP workers to go door to door and inform to the voters of Assam about these people friendly initiatives of NDA government.
