Severe cold conditions are prevailing at many places in Northern and Eastern India including Delhi, Odisha, West Bengal and Jammu and Kashmir. In Delhi, the minimum temperature recorded at 4.6 degrees Celsius yesterday, three notches below normal. 30 trains were cancelled and 20 delayed due to fog yesterday. Two fights were also cancelled.
For today morning, the weather office has forecast mainly clear sky with moderate or dense fog at few places and very dense fog at isolated places. Severe cold conditions have so far claimed seven lives in Delhi over the past three days.
