The Sensex today plunged more than two and half percent. The key domestic share markets tumbled in sync with big falls in the global stocks. The BSE Sensex closed below 52,900 points while the NSE Nifty finished below 15,900 level.
The Sensex lost 1491 points, or 2.74 percent settles at 52,843. The Nifty also declined 382 points, or 2.35 percent, to trade at 15,863.
