The Border Security Force (BSF) today said, security forces have been giving a befitting reply to every misadventure from Pakistan at the International Border and the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir.
Talking to media persons in Jammu today, BSF Director General KK Sharma said, the situation along the LoC and International Border is considerably tense due to ceasefire violations by Pakistan, but the Indian forces are prepared enough to meet any challenge.
He said, that keeping up the ethics of the force, BSF never resorts to ceasefire, yet any such attempt from across the border will be responded aggressively.

Meanwhile in Jammu and Kashmir, A Border Security Force jawan was martyred as Pakistani troops violated the ceasefire by firing and shelling along the International Border in R S Pura sector of Jammu.
The firing and shelling on the Border Out Posts and civilian areas in RS Pura sector started at around nine in the evening.
Shells fired by Pakistan landed in Arnia belt and hit several villages as well.There have been 860 incidents of ceasefire violations along the border in 2017 – a sharp rise from the previous year. Last month Army Chief Bipin Rawat had visited forward posts along the LoC in Rajouri district and exhorted troops to “remain vigilant” and “ever ready”.
