Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain has said that the schools in the national capital will remain closed until the government is completely assured that the Covid-19 situation is under control. Mr. Jain said, the positivity rate in Delhi has come down to 8.5 per cent in the last 3 weeks.

Expressing hope regarding a COVID vaccine in a short span, Delhi Health Minister asserted that only upon complete assurance of situation being in control, city government would decide on re-opening of schools.

Earlier on Tuesday, Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia, had said that schools are unlikely to reopen until a COVID vaccine is available.
