The Supreme Court today took suo moto cognizance of the alleged sexual abuse of minor girls at a shelter home in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur district.
The Apex Court issued notices to the Bihar Government and the Centre and sought a detailed reply from them.
The Supreme Court asked the media not to interview alleged victims of sexual assault, saying they cannot be compelled to relive the trauma again and again.
The apex court also restrained electronic media from telecasting images of alleged victims even in morphed form.
