Supreme Court today refused to entertain during vacation a petition against Centre’s Ordinance allowing States to continue with exam for admissions in MBBS and BDS courses. The Apex Court asked for listing of the petition on opening of courts after summer vacations. The court added that there should be certainty for students about holding of exams.
The petition challenged the validity of the ordinance allowing states to conduct their own medical entrance examinations this year. It alleged that the ordinance frustrated the order of the Supreme Court directing implementation of NEET from the current academic year and pleaded for immediate stay on the executive order.
