The Supreme Court today adjourned the hearing in the Rafale case till 14th of this month. The government sought rejection of the petition in the Rafael deal with France, after a marathon three-hour hearing in the apex court.
Attorney General K K Venugopal said that some documents relied upon by the petitioners were stolen from the Defence Ministry.
He said investigations are on. A bench led by the Chief Justice of India, Ranjan Gogoi, heard petitions seeking a review of the Supreme Court judgment giving a clean chit to the government on the Rafale fighter jets deal.
The plea was filed by former Finance Minister Yashwant Sinha, journalist-turned politician Arun Shourie and activist- lawyers Prashant Bhushan, among others.
