Security has been beefed up around the Central jail at Parappana Agrahara in Bangalore today as a large number of supporters of AIADMK General Secretary V K Sasikala have started arriving.
The AIADMK leader had surrendered before the Special Court in the jail premises yesterday after Supreme Court upheld the lower court order of sentensing her and two others to four year jail term and hefty fine by overturning the high court order, which had acquitted the trio.
Two KSRP platoons were stationed near the jail while police placed barricades and subjected all vehicles that came to the central jail. Even journalists were barred from going near the jail premises and were kept 100 meters away.
