Congress leader Sanjay Sinh has resigned from the party. Talking to media in New Delhi, Mr Singh said he has also tendered his resignation from the Rajya Sabha. He represented Assam in the Upper House.
Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu has accepted his resignation. He is likely to join the BJP tomorrow.
