RSS today began a 3-day conclave ‘Bharat of the Future – An RSS Perspective’ here to engage with cross section of people and present its views on future of India.
Speaking at the inaugural session, RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat said the Sangh works for personality development of the people to create a society free from discrimination and based on equality and inclusiveness. He said, the RSS was established to unite Hindu society but it does not mean that others have to be opposed.
Mr. Bhagwat said the organisation respects diversity in every walks of life and believes in moving ahead together. He cited RSS founder Dr K B Hedgewar and highlighted the works and functioning of Sangh saying that its work is incomparable.
In his speech, Mr Bhagwat spoke on several misconceptions about the Sangh and said it is relentlessly working for the welfare of the society. He also cleared the misconceptions about Sangh’s view on tricolour saying it has always held the national flag in great reverence.
In an apparent remarks on the functioning of BJP, the RSS Chief said there is a complete autonomy in various verticals and time to time coordination meeting is not because of any order from one side. He also rejected the allegation that there is some kind of dictatorship in the RSS functioning asserting that Sangh is the most democratic organization where every decision is taken with consensus. He also said they do not take donations from outside and the entire functioning of RSS is based on its members annual contributions.
The RSS Chief said the conclave has been reorganized to make people understand it as well as its functioning. On the occasion, several Union Ministers including Vijay Goel, K J Alphons, Hardeep Puri, P P Chaudhary and several Film personalities like Manish Koirala, Madhur Bhandarkar and Anu Malik were present. BJP leaders and several MPs besides, several personalities of different fields were also present.
