Indian campaign in the Malaysia Masters ended today as Saina Nehwal crashed out losing to Carolina Marin of Spain in the semifinal, 16-21, 13-21 at Kuala Lumpur today.
The Indian shuttler was dominated by the three-time world champion Carolina Marin throughout the 40-minute contest in Malaysia.
In the women’s singles final, Marin will clash with Thai defending champion Ratchanok Intanon. Ratchanok defeated Goh Jin Wei of Malaysia 21-16, 21-16.
Chinese shuttler Chen Long powered into the Men’s singles final after beating defending champion Viktor Axelsen 21-13, 21-18 to set up a showdown against South Korea’s Son Wan-ho. Indian shuttler Kidambi Srikanth crashed out of the Men’s Singles last evening.
