At least 14 people, including two children, were killed in a Russian missile strike in the northern city of Chernihiv in Ukraine today. Authorities said that three Russian Iskander missiles slammed into residential buildings, a hospital, and a higher education institution.

The attack also injured more than 60 people. Search and rescue operations at the site of the strike are continuing.In a social media post, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that this would not have happened if Ukraine had received sufficient air defence equipment from the West.
