Russia launched massive overnight attacks on Ukraine, firing about 450 long-range drones and 70 missiles. The attack came just ahead of US-brokered talks scheduled in Abu Dhabi aimed at ending the nearly four-year war.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said, strikes hit at least five regions and heavily targeted the energy grid, worsening civilian hardship during one of the coldest winters in years. Officials reported 10 injuries nationwide, including damage to homes, a kindergarten, and infrastructure in Kyiv. More than 1,100 apartment buildings in the capital were left without heating. Power facilities operated by DTEK were also struck.
