Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Chief Mohan Bhagwat has said that Sangh does not interfere in government’s functioning and always kept a distance from politics. He however said, the Sangh has its views on issues of national interests.
Mr Bhagwat was speaking on the second day of three-day lecture series organized by the RSS on Bharat of the Future – An RSS Perspective here .
He said, an RSS functionary cannot have a responsibility in a political party. He said, Swayamsevaks started different organisations in various fields of national life and all of them are independent and self-reliant.
Mr. Bhagwat added that the Sangh want a powerful nation so that it can use that power for good deeds. He also said the Constitution is the consensus of the country and following it is everyone’s duty.
The RSS Chief said there is not even one example in which the Sangh have done anything against the Constitution. The RSS chief said the Sangh respects diversity and believes in the philosophy of walk on your own path. He said, its aims at uniting the entire society.
