Central Government has approved the assistance of over 103 crore rupees for flood affected Arunachal Pradesh and over 28 crore rupees for Nagaland.
The approvals were given by a High Level Committee chaired by Home Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi today.
Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh, Home Secretary Rajiv Mehrishi and senior officers of the Ministries attended the meeting.
The High Level Committee approved the assistance of 103.3 crore rupees for Arunachal Pradesh, including 81 crore rupees from the National Disaster Relief Fund and 21.61 crore rupees from National Rural Drinking Water Programme.
The Committee also approved the assistance of 28.60 crore rupees for Nagaland, including 25.89 crore rupees from NDRF and 2.71 crore rupees from National Rural Drinking Water Programme.
