RJD has alleged that its ruling partner JD(U) in the Nitish led grand alliance government phone are being tapped. It said that if telephone of RJD chief Lalu Prasad was being tapped, what could be said about the privacy of others in Bihar.

RJD MLA Ramanuj Prasad levelled charges,a day after expose by a private channel of telephonic conversation between Mr Prasad and incarcerated former MP Mohammad Shahabuddin, convicted in murder case, facing more than 40 criminal cases. Instantly reacting over the charges levelled by Mr Prasad, state spokesman of JD(U) Sanjay Singh said it was baseless as how could government order for tapping phone of RJD Chief Mr Prasad when his party was part of coalition government comprising Congress, JD(U), and RJD.

Mr Prasad told the media here that expose by a private channel on telephonic conversation of Mr Prasad with Mohammad Shahabuddin was a serious issue as it had established the fact that phones of top party leaders were been tapped in Bihar. Any one could guess the state of affairs prevailing in Bihar when privacy of top personalities was not secured, he remarked.
