1983-batch IPS officer of Madhya Pradesh Cadre, Rishi Kumar Shukla today took charge as the Director of Central Bureau of Investigation, CBI. He took charge from M. Nageshwara Rao, who was working as Interim Chief of the Investigation Agency.
Mr. Shukla will serve in the post for a period of two years. The High Level Committee chaired by Prime Minister had approved the appointment of Mr. Shukla to the post on Saturday. He has also served as DGP of Madhya Pradesh.
