Revenue Secretary Hasmukh Aadhia, has started holding detailed meetings from today onwards with industry and business representatives of major national chambers in order to generate new ideas for tax policy reforms for the next budget. Mr Adhia today held first meeting with Confederation of Indian Industry CII delegation.
Similar meetings will be held with other industry bodies on 30 September, 6th and 7th of October.
A press statement issued by the Finance Ministry has said the government is quite conscious of the fact that Tax Policy could be used as an important instrument of enhancing the speed of economic growth of the country.
