A Revanth Reddy, two time TDP MLA, has been sacked from the T-TDP working president’s post.This was announced by Telangana TDP President L Ramana here on Wednesday after holding consultations with the party’s nations President and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu over phone.
Reddy, will, however, continue as TDP MLA.
The development comes after a week-long drama in the T-TDP following rumours that Revanth
Reddy was all set to switch allegiance to the Congress.
He is reported to have met Congress vice-president recently in New Delhi.
In a press release, Ramana said a report on the Revanth episode was submitted to Naidu and the decision was taken in the presence of politburo members.
He said Naidu called him up from London, where is on an official visit, and directed him to take necessary action to protect the party’s interest.
“I explained to Naidu the present party situation and sought his intervention,” he said.
In another development, both Ramana and Revanth Reddy have called for Legislative Party meeting at different venues tomorrow to discuss the various issues to be raised during the ensuing Assembly sessions beginning from October 27.
