Union Health Secretary Apurva Chandra has launched a summary report on the economic case for investment in the well-being of adolescents in India. The report was unveiled at an event in New Delhi today. Addressing the panel discussion on investing in adolescents, Mr Chandra said that the government made several strides in advancing the well-being of adolescents in the country.
He added that the government along with several stakeholders and partners is committed to ensure every adolescent is equipped with resources and support.
He also expressed confidence in introducing Human Papillomavirus vaccines soon, which aim to protect individuals against genital warts and most cases of cervical cancer.
