The relief and rescue work in Gujarat is going on in full swing. Government is focusing relief works in the flood affected areas to restore normalcy at the earliest.
In this regard, Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, who is in flood effected Banaskantha district, has raised the amount of cash relief being paid to the flood affected people of the state. He increased the compensation for household goods from 3,800 rupees to 7,000 rupees per family and that for milking cattle from 30,000 rupees to 40,000 per cattle. Compensation limit for milking cattle has also been revised from maximum three milking cattle to five.
The Chief Minister decided to pay the additional amount, over and above the norms of State Disaster Response Fund would be given from the State Government’s budget.
