PM Modi did not make any disparaging remarks against Manmohan Singh, Hamid Ansari: Arun Jaitley

The ongoing stalemate in the Rajya Sabha came to an end after the leader of House Mr. Arun Jaitely stating that Prime Minister Narendra Modi did not say anything adverse against his predecessor Dr. Manmohan Singh and former Vice-President Mohammed Hamid Ansari during poll campaigning in Gujarat.
Mr. Jaitely said that Mr. Modi did not make any disparaging remarks against the two leaders and any such perception is erroneous.
Leader of Opposition Ghulam Nabi Azad assured the House on behalf of his party that no personal comment should be made against the Prime Minister.
He said, the party disassociates itself from any remarks made against Prime Minister Modi during poll campaign.

Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday took a jibe at the Leader of the House in the Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley at his statement in Parliament that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had no intention to question the contribution and commitment of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to the country.
In a post on social media, Mr Gandhi said, ‘Dear Mr Jaitlie – thank you for reminding India that our PM never means what he says or says what he means. BJPLies’.
In a statement in the Rajya Sabha that helped resolve the logjam in Parliament over the PM’s alleged remarks in which he charged Dr Singh of conspiring with Pakistan for the Gujarat election, Mr Jaitley said that there was no intention by the PM to question the contribution and commitment of Dr Singh to the Nation.
