The Home Minister Mr. Rajnath Singh today asked the BSF personnel for better boarder management to stop cross border smuggling and illegal infiltrations to the Indian soil. Mr. Singh addressed the BSF officials and Jawans at Angrail border out-post in North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal this morning. He praised BSF for guarding the border and suggested doing it in more perfect manner. Talking to media persons Home Minister said that the NIA is probing all aspects of Khagragarh blast in Burdwan district of the state.

The Home Minister is schedule to visit a floating border out-post of BSF near Dhamakhali in North 24 Parganas district this afternoon. Mr. Singh is on a two day visit to West Bengal yesterday. He inspected the Bala Pukuri enclave and Tinbigha corridor in Cooch Behar district of the State yesterday to have a first hand experience on the situation of the people residing at enclaves along Indo-Bangladesh border.

The West Bengal government has expressed displeasure over the visit of Home Minister in the state without prior consultation with the state. Chief Minister Miss. Mamata Banerjee said that Chhitmahal (enclave) and law and order falls under the jurisdiction of the state government and the centre should respect State’s jurisdiction.
