Anti Corruption Bureau in Rajasthan has arrested Senior IAS officer and Principal Secretary in the Mines Department Ashok Singhvi and five others in connection with alleged bribery case of Rs 2 crore and 50 lakh.
ACB sleuth arrested Senior IAS officer Ashok Singhvi from Jaipur and five other people from Udaipur and Bhilwara districts yesterday.
“IAS officer Ashok Singhvi was arrested at 3 AM. A search operation was launched at his residence at hospital road in Jaipur last evening and list of seizure is being prepared,” IG-ACB Dinesh told media
Bureau has recovered more than four crore rupees after search operation. In this case Anti Corruption Bureau built up on their own information, and caught red-handed both the receivers and the givers of the bribe.
The other arrested officials were Pankaj Gehlot, Additional Director for Mines in Udaipur, Pushkar Raj Amte, senior Mining Engineer in Bhilwara district, and middlemen Sanjay Sethi, Rashid Khan and Shyam Singh Singhvi. Sources said that it is biggest ever action against corrupt officials in state.
