Mr. Dinesh Trivedi, who took oath as the new Railway Minister today, headed straight to the Accident site and have reached the spot to take stock of the situation.
Meanwhile, the Chief Commissioner of Railway safety Prashant Kumar will begin his inquiry on the Kalka mail train accident from tomorrow. He will interact and collect Information from all concerned railway employees on the rail accident which occurred on Sunday. The Public can provide information on the rail accident, to the Chief Commissioner of Rail safety in the Kanpur Railway office until 15th July.
The North central railway cancelled four more trains today including the Delhi bound Allahabad Delhi Duronto Express. The death toll in the Kalka mail train accident has gone up to 69. More than 175 injured passengers are still hospitalised in Kanpur and Fatehpur. The condition of 30 of them is critical.
