Continuing his attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP in the run up to the assembly elections in Gujarat, Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi on Monday accused the state government of failure to ensure employment opportunities for youth and exploitation of contractual workers.
Taking to twitter, the Congress vice president, posing the sixth in series of question to PM Modi on the affairs in Gujarat, said, ”BJP’s double blow to the youth – while on one hand youth are unemployed, on the other hand the those with fixed pay and contractual workers are oppressed.
Despite the recommendation of the seventh pay commission of Rs 18000 monthly pay, why is the fixed income and payment to contractual workers at just Rs 5500 and Rs 10000?”
This is the sixth in the series of questions being raised by Rahul to the PM in the run up to the assembly polls in Gujarat.
Elections to the Gujarat assembly are scheduled on December 9 and 14. The counting of votes and declaration of results will be on December 18.
