Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has ordered district magistrates of Patna and Bhagalpur to hand over a cheque of ex gratia of 11 lakh Rupees each to families of the two martyred CRPF personnel.
He also announced additional Rs 25 lakh rupees each for families of martyred jawans Sanjay Kumar Sinha and Ratan Thakur from the Chief Minister’s Relief fund. Mr. Kumar said all possible help would be given to their families.
Earlier the mortal remains of jawans arrived by special aircraft of Indian Air Force from Delhi.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi, Union Ministers Ravi Shankar Prasad, Ram Kripal Yadav, Leader of opposition in state assembly Tejaswi Prasad Yadav, several state ministers and leader of political parties laid floral wreath on the mortal remains of slain CRPF personnel.
The last rites of jawans will be performed today at their respective native villages in Patna and Bhagalpur district with full state honours. Special chopper would carry the coffins of CRPF personnel.
Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad and Union Minister of state Ram Kripal Yadav would attend the funeral of late Sanjay Kumar Sinha at Masaurhi in Patna district.
Union Minister of state Giriraj Singh will be present at Aamdanda Village in Bhagalpur district as representatives of the Union Government.
