On the completion of 100 days of the Modi 3.0 government, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that projects worth 15 lakh crore rupees were sanctioned or initiated during the 100 days of Modi 3.0 government. He said several decisions were taken to boost the economy, creating world-class infrastructure, strengthening the security ecosystem, enhancing ease of living and making life better for the poor and middle class.

Home Minister Amit Shah and Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw today launched a booklet and eight flyers on the works done by the government.

Briefing media Mr. Shah lauded the government initiatives taken in the various sectors in the last ten years. He said, three lakh crore rupees worth of infrastructure projects were sanctioned in the last 100 days of the Modi government. He said, 50 thousand 600 hundred crore rupees to enhance the country’s road network. He said, India has become the lucrative destination for production under the Make in India initiative.

 Mr. Shah also appreciated the Digital India initiative, saying that many countries want to learn from India and make it a strong pillar of their growth. Mr Shah expressed hope that the country will emerge as a big player in the semiconductor sector.

On the works done for the upliftment of the poor, the Home Minister said, 60 crore poor people have benefitted with the welfare schemes of government in the last ten years.

Mr. Shah said, several initiatives were taken for the welfare of farmers ensuring better living for them. He said, 20 thousand crore rupees have been disbursed to over nine crore farmers under the PM Kisan Nidhi. He said, MSP for kharif crops have increased and this government has provided more MSP to farmers in comparison to the previous UPA government.

On the empowerment of the middle class, the Home Minister said, income up to seven lakh rupees are now tax free. He said, One Rank One Pension scheme third edition has been initiated. Mr. Shah said, three crore houses have been sanctioned under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.

On the women-led development, Mr. Shah said, 11 lakh new Lakhpati Didis received certificates from the Prime Minister in recognition of their achievement. He said, the MUDRA loan limit has been increased from 10 lakh rupees to 20 lakh which will benefit the women entrepreneurs.

Pointing towards the government’s commitment to empower youth, Mr. Shah said, two lakh crore rupees Prime Minister’s package will benefit over four crore youths in coming years. He said, budgetary capital expenditure of over 11 lakh crore rupees will enhance the job creation in the country.                                     

On providing quality healthcare and education,the Home Minister said, the government has taken the decision to provide health cover of five lakh rupees per year to senior citizens aged above 70 years. He said, 75 thousand new medical seats will strengthen the healthcare infrastructure. He said, U-win portal was launched to maintain an electronic registry of routine immunisations.

Talking about the government’s commitment to improve governance with citizen-centric approach, Mr Shah said, three criminal laws have been formulated to replace colonial laws. He expressed hope that these new criminal laws will ensure speedy justice delivery.

On the initiatives taken by the government to bring peace in the North-Eastern States, Mr. Shah said, 11 boundary agreements were signed and around 11 thousand people have surrendered weapons.        On the situation in Manipur, the Union Home Minister said, several steps have been taken to bring normalcy in the state. He said, budget has been approved for fencing of 15 hundred kilometres of border areas between India and Myanmar. He said, 30 kilometres fencing work has been completed. 

 Speaking on One Nation One Election, the Home Minister said, this will be implemented by the government in this term. He said, census work will be initiated soon.
