The prime suspect of Kanpur train accident Shamshul Hoda has been arrested in Kathmandu by the Nepal police. Superintendent of Police of Bara district Shri Narendra Prasad Upreti told our Kathmandu correspondent that Hoda and 4 others were arrested in a twin murder case.
The other arrested persons are Brij Kishore Giri, Mujahir Ansari, Ashish Singh and Umesh Kumar Kurmi. They were produced in local court. The court has granted 3 days’ police remand of all accused. Shri Upreti said that Indian police authorities have been informed about the arrest of Shamshul Hoda. At least 150 people were killed in Kanpur train accident in November last year.
