Prime Minister Narendra Modi thanked his Israeli counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu and people of Israel for the Independence Day greetings. He said, Mr. Netanyahu’s special affection towards India is clearly visible and India is proud of its increasingly robust ties with Israel.

The Prime Minister thanked Bhutan’s Prime Minister Dr. Lotay Tshering for his good wishes on India’s 74th Independence Day. He also thanked the monarchy and Bhutanese people for the unique and time tested friendship between India and Bhutan.

Mr. Modi thanked Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa for their warm greetings on the occasion and said that the people of India cherish the Independence Day greetings from their Sri Lankan sisters and brothers. He said that India remains committed to the special bonds of friendship it shares with Sri Lanka.

The Prime Minister thanked Maldivian President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih for his greetings. He said, the friendship between India and Maldives will continue to contribute to the development of the Indian Ocean region and a healthy planet.

Thanking Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison for his Independence Day greetings, Mr. Modi said that he fully agreed with his australian counterpart’s view that the Indo-Australia relationship is based on deep values of trust, respect and shared values. He wished for further strengthening of ties between both the nations which, he said, would contribute to world peace and progress.
