President Pranab Mukherjee and Vice President M Hamid Ansari today greeted the people of the country on the eve of auspicious occasion of Dussehra.
In a message, the President said, “On the joyous occasion of Dussehra, I extend greetings and best wishes to my fellow countrymen in India and abroad.
‘May this festival inspire us to emulate the righteousness of the Maryada Purush, the loyalty of his brothers Bharath and Lakshmana, the virtues of Sita and the valour, as well as humility of Hanuman.
In his message Vice President of India, M. Hamid Ansari said: “I extend my warm greetings and good wishes to the people of our country on the auspicious occasion of Dussehra.
Celebrated with traditional fervor and zeal, Dussehra marks the victory of the forces of good over evil and fills the people with the spirit of brotherhood and amity.
May this festival bring peace, harmony and prosperity in the nation.”
