President and Prime Minister have expressed grief over the death of former Air Chief Marshal Om Prakash Mehra.
In his message, President Pranab Mukherjee said, during his service in the Air Force he implemented several reforms and rules that saw improvement in fight safety across the Indian Air Force.
The President said, he was not just a brave air warrior but also served the nation as Governor of Maharashtra and Governor of Rajasthan.
In his message, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, Air Chief Marshal Mehra spent years in service of the nation and he will always be remembered for his contribution to the country.
