President of India Ram Nath Kovind today left for Tajikistan on a three-day official visit. During his first visit to the Central Asian country, President will hold talks with the top leadership of Tajikistan to strengthen ties between the two nations.

Ministry of External Affairs said that president will meet his Tajik counterpart Emamoli Rahmon, Speaker of Parliament Shukurjon Zuhurov, and Speaker of the Lower House (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of Parliament.

Tajik Prime Minister Qohir Rasulzoda will also call on the president.

Minister of State for Defence Subhash Bhamre and Rajya Sabha member Shamsher Singh Manhas will also be part of the president’s official delegation.
