Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy Pralhad Joshi today met with world leaders on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum 2026, which is currently being held in Davos, Switzerland. In his meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister of Belgium, Maxime Prevost, he reaffirmed the strength of the India-Belgium partnership in research and development, cooperation in offshore wind and solar energy, along with green taxonomy.
Meanwhile, Mr Joshi also interacted withthe Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy of Kuwait, Subaih Abdulaziz Abdul Mohsen Al-Mukhaizeem, on advancing collaboration in clean energy and sustainable development.
Mr Joshi said that the discussions included exploring India’s solar module and cell ecosystem, and encouraging investments by the Kuwait Investment Authority in India, reflectinga strong interest in expanding renewable energy cooperation.
